Because of financial crises, Munawar had to drop out of school after class 5. His father came under huge debt, which pushed him to work and make money from his end. During his childhood, he ran various chores and helped his mother and grandmother.
When Faruqui was just 14 years old, his mother committed suicide. After which, he had to relocate to Mumbai at his aunt’s request. He started doing some odd jobs to make money for himself.
Munawar Faruqui Career and Success
Munawar Faruqui made his first social appearance in April 2020. He uploaded a stand-up comedy video named “Dawood, Yamraaj & Aurat” on his YouTube channel. Following this, he made his debut song, “Jawab,” with an Indian musician Spectra in August 2020.
His next stand-up comedy video, “Ghost Story,” also gained significant popularity. Seeing his emerging success, producers invited him to Balaji Telefilms’s reality television show “Lock Upp” hosted by Kangana Ranaut. He won the show on 8 May 2022.
But, the most turned on event of his career was Bigg Boss 17. He became the Bigg Boss 17 winner on 28 January 2024. ColorsTV awarded him Rs. 50,00,000 and a trophy as a winning prize.

On Sunday night, the fans of the stand-up comedian flooded the Mumbai Dongri streets on Sunday night as Salman Khan announced Munawar as the Bigg Boss 17 Winner.
Following the victory, Faruqui leaves a thankful message for his supporters and the show’s host Salman Khan, on Instagram. He showed a sense of love and guidance by sharing a photo with Salman Khan while holding the Bigg Boss 17 trophy. He wrote, “Bohot Bohot Shukriya Janta.”
