Demon Slayer Season 4: See Confirmed Release Date, Plot, Where To Watch And Cast

The much-anticipated Demon Slayer Season 4 is set to premiere on May 12, 2024, continuing the journey with the Hashira Training Arc. After the grand success of the previous seasons and the record-breaking Demon Slayer Mugen Train movie, every fan is awaiting the next chapter in Tanjiro’s life journey.

That’s not all. Below is our detailed guide to season 4 of Demon Slayer. We will also mention the final release date, plot, cast, and where you can watch this most popular anime series.

About Demon Slayer Season 4

Demon Slayer is one of the most famous anime series ever, and it has given us three seasons of fascinating adventures. As the protagonist, Tanjiro kills demons and journeys across early 1900s Japan.

Motivated by the possession of Nazuko (his sister) Tanjiro finds a whole network of warriors devoted to killing these monstrous entities and pushing him deeper into the ongoing war to save the world.

Besides the first three seasons of Demon Slayer, we have had one decent anime movie, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. It is currently Japan’s highest-grossing movie ever.

For Demon Slayer season 4, Ufotable, Aniplex, and Toho have decided to have the best of the two worlds by offering a compilation film, Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training, as well as many more episodes of one of the finest anime shows available on Netflix.

Demon Slayer Season 4: Release Date

Demon Slayer Season 4 Trailer

Demon Slayer Season 4 officially starts on May 12th and will be available on Crunchyroll to watch internationally. Previously, there was approximately a two-year gap between seasons. So, everybody is very excited to learn that Tanjiro and the whole Demon Slayer team will return much earlier than anticipated.

Similar to the introduction of the Swordsmith Village Arc, Demon Slayer’s fourth season debuted at a special cinema screening in February worldwide. The theatrical release, named Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba– To The Hashira Training, included an hour-long season three finale and also an extra-long season four premiere.

Demon Slayer Season 4: Plot

Demon Slayer Season 4 will adapt the Hashira Training Arc. Tanjiro goes to train with many of the strongest Hashira in the hopes of becoming a strong Hashira himself.

We can definitely expect to meet Gyomei Himejima and Stone Hashira, who will be vital to Tanjiro’s training. Meanwhile, Muzan Kibutsuji, the demon king, and the three remaining members of Kizuki, Kokushibo, Akaza, and Doma, will begin their search for the Ubuyashiki family and Nezuko.

However, the Demon Slayer Season 4 is only nine chapters long, which is relatively shorter than the other chapters. The 11-episode-long Swordsmith Village Arc was 27 chapters long in the manga series, which means each episode adapted about two chapters.

Also, that would mean that the fourth season of Demon Slayer will only be 4-5 episodes, or that the season is going to cover more than just this brief arc. This also leaves a lot of room for modifications to be made in the series and much elements to be added later.

Additionally, there is an expectation that the Demon Slayer Season 4 is going to be 11 episodes long, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The previous seasons have followed an 11-season arc, so it is anticipated that this season will also have 11 episodes as well.
