Deadpool 3 is now Deadpool and Wolverine

The big reveal came not only through the trailer but also with intriguing posters shared by Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. The half-and-half locket featuring Deadpool and Wolverine symbols with the engraving “Best Friends” sent waves of excitement through the fanbase. Hugh Jackman’s witty remark, “‘Best’ is a stretch. So is ‘friends,”’ added a touch of humor to the confirmation.

The two-minute-25-second-long teaser initially showcased at the 2024 Superbowl, introduces us to a thrilling plot. Matthew Macfadyen’s TVA bureaucrat crashes Deadpool’s birthday party, setting off a series of events that catapults Wade Wilson into the headquarters of the Time Variance Authority. The teaser offers glimpses of Deadpool’s encounter with characters like Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man, marking his official entry into the MCU.
The teaser not only revisits familiar faces from the Deadpool franchise but also marks the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. While the trailer doesn’t reveal Wolverine’s look, it teases fans with two scenes – one in a casino and another where he unsheathes his claws, dressed in his iconic yellow spandex suit. The reunion of Deadpool and Wolverine promises an action-packed threequel that fans have been eagerly awaiting.

Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, says this version of Wolverine is different from what we’ve seen before. He’s angrier and grumpier, and he’s going to make fun of Ryan Reynolds a lot. Ryan Reynolds mentioned that the events in ‘Logan’ won’t affect ‘Deadpool 3,’ but he hasn’t given more details.
Wolverine is making the iconic return in the movie after 2017. He had taken retirement from the role of ‘Logan’ (2017) but Ryan Reynolds made him come back. But there won’t be any gaps and he’ll be at home with She-Hulk breaking the fourth wall in a classic manner.
Marvel X Deadpool
Almost six years since Disney acquired Fox and X-Men Franchise in 2019, Deadpool has joined the MCU. This last part of the Deadpool trilogy- Deadpool and Wolverine marks the 34th installment in the MCU. The trailer hints at a collaboration with other Marvel superheroes.
TVA bureaucrat introduced Deadpool to the Marvel heroes’ team and said- “This is your chance to be a hero among heroes,”. This collaboration started with a series of R-rated jokes and dark humor. Deadpool stated that Marvel superheroes need his help and Wade Wilson, refers to himself as “Marvel Jesus,”— a “messiah” promising to change the MCU’s multiverse forever.
The X-Men and mutants might join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) soon. Unless another Marvel movie in Phase 5 comes out first, Deadpool could be the one to introduce them.

Why was Deadpool 3 delayed?
